When you use QR Scanner to scan QR codes or barcodes, the following information is stored locally on your device:

• Scanned content (URLs, text, payment information, etc.)
• Barcode format type (QR Code, EAN-13, etc.)
• Scan timestamp
• EMVCo payment details (when applicable)

1.2 Camera and Photo Access

The app requires access to your device's camera to scan QR codes in real-time. When you choose to scan from your photo library, the app accesses only the specific photos you select.

1.3 No Personal Information Collection

We do not collect any personal information such as:

• Name, email address, or phone number
• Device identifiers or location data
• Usage analytics or crash reports
• Any other personally identifiable information

2. How We Use Information

All scan data is used exclusively for the following purposes:

• Displaying scan results to you
• Maintaining your local scan history
• Enabling search functionality within your history
• Processing EMVCo payment QR codes for display

3. Data Storage and Security

3.1 Local Storage

All your scan data is stored locally on your device using iOS's secure UserDefaults system. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share it using the built-in sharing features.

3.2 No Cloud Storage

We do not use any cloud storage services or remote servers to store your data. Your scan history is completely private and under your control.

3.3 Data Encryption

Your data is protected by iOS's built-in encryption and security measures. The data is automatically encrypted when your device is locked.

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 Advertising

This app displays advertisements through Google AdMob. Google may collect certain information for ad personalization and measurement. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for more information about their data practices.

4.2 No Analytics

We do not use any analytics services to track your usage of the app.

5. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or transfer your scan data to any third parties. The only way your scan data can be shared is when you explicitly use the app's sharing features (copy, share QR code, etc.).

6. Data Retention and Deletion

You have complete control over your scan data:

• Delete individual scan results by swiping left in the history view
• Clear all scan history using the "Clear All" button
• Uninstalling the app will permanently delete all locally stored data

7. Permissions

The app requests the following permissions:

• Camera: Required for real-time QR code scanning
• Photo Library: Optional, used only when you choose to scan from existing photos

You can revoke these permissions at any time through your device's Settings app.

8. Children's Privacy

This app does not collect any personal information from users of any age. The app is safe for use by children, as all data remains on the device and no personal information is transmitted.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app and on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

10. International Users

This app is designed to comply with privacy regulations worldwide, including GDPR, CCPA, and other regional privacy laws. Since no personal data is collected or transmitted, the privacy risks are minimal.
